The starter (bypass) for LED lamps is a component installed in the fixture socket in place of the classic fluorescent starter. Its task is to close the electrical circuit and enable the proper operation of LED lamps in fixtures adapted for traditional T8 fluorescent lamps.

-serves as an electrical bridge (does not initiate a classic ignition like a fluorescent starter),
-used when replacing conventional lamps with LED,
-compatible with most fixtures equipped with magnetic ballasts,
